                                                                                Laserblast

  Darien Lake's shows have varied over the years, but the longest running , and my favorite, is Laserblast.

   Since 1992 Darien Lake has been doing some kind of laser show. First there was Laserlight Fantasy, shown on the midway between the Giant Wheel and Barracuda Bay.

   Then came Laserlight Reality and in 1998 Laserblast!.
  
   Laserblast is a multimedia laser, music and fireworks show put on nightly at the Lakeside Amphitheater. The original concert venue.
  It is just outside of the park fence on the path that goes from the hotel to the campgrounds. You can easily get to the main parking lot, campgrounds and hotel when the show ends
   Lasers play on the large screen and above your head, fog machines pump out fog, music plays on the large concert speakers and fireworks go off over the lake. The music varies, so if there is something that you don't like, just wait, it will change.  Laserblast is about 30 minutes long.
Be sure to have the camera battery charged and have enough film / storage capacity available. Last time I ran out of tape in our camcorder.
Laserblast is a great way to end the day. Even if you are tired, try to stay up and watch.
   There is no extra charge for any of the shows at Darien Lake.
