I have listed, for now, as "Flat Rides" as any ride that is not a coaster. Darien Lake has  many of these rides and some are said to be quite rare .

   The Huss Ranger is one of the few original Rangers in operation. This is the model that  was used in "RollerCoasterTycoon" for their "Ranger"

   Here are just a few of the rides at Darien Lake more will be added as soon as possible. If you have a favorite let me know and I'll try to add it here.

   Twister

2000 -- Built by HUSS Maschinenfabrik.
   Nicely themed. Benches in front so your friends and family can watch you scream.
    Ride op's have been known to pause the ride and ask riders if they want more. The answer is always yes, so you can get a really long ride.
  In most parks you only get 4 or 5 full flips and  one face plant. Not here. You get a great ride. This ride has an insane following. I've seen riders clapping, singing and generally having a great time in POURING rain. The Ride Op's love this ride as mush as the riders do, and it shows. Consistantly a favorite.

Haymaker

1985 -- Built by Heintz Fahtze. Said to be the only one of it's kind.


  This is a family favorite and a good interim ride for kids a little too small for coasters but too big for kiddie land.
