  Darien Lake Theme Park Resort has had a major coaster at the park for over 25 years. They now have 6 major coasters and 1 "Kiddie Coaster".

   The first major coaster at Darien Lake was built in 1982, "Viper".
    The first rollercoaster in the world to have 5 inversions.
   "Predator" was next, built in 1990. Predator is New York States largest wooden coaster.

     1997 saw "The Mind Eraser"  built over "Willow Lake".
  "Boomerang Coast to Coaster" was built the next year, 1998.

   1999 brought in Six Flags and the Intamin AG Hypercoaster "Superman: Ride of Steel".

   Darien Lakes "Kiddie" coaster is "Brain Teaser".
   Built in 1981 it has had many names over the years.
   Photos of "Brain Teaser" will be   added to the "Kiddie" area of this site when it is  created.

NEW COASTER FOR DARIEN LAKE !

According to "Park World Online" Darien Lake Theme Park Resort will be getting a Zamperla MotoCoaster in May. The ride is 44 ft. tall and 1198 ft long in a 3 layer figure eight configuration. This will be the only launch coaster at Darien Lake. The trains will launch from 0-38 in 3 seconds. This will bring the total for major coasters at Darien Lake to 6. This Motocoaster will be the only one of it's kind in the eastern US.
