We stayed in an RV over opening weekend. I'll be updating this site on May 10th.
The Teutul family, founders of OCC and stars of the hit show "American Chopper," will be on hand May 16 for the coaster's grand opening. They will also design and build a motorcycle inspired by the ride, which will be featured in an episode of the show and remain on display at the park.
Darien Lake will have Point of Sale charging. Allowing us to use our debit/credit cards at all of the stands. While this may not seem like much of a change it will really make a difference if you ever tried to find an ATM. I must have ATM blindness, I can never find an ATM even if I'm standing right in front of one.
Remember, if you are coming for a concert you can add park entrance for only $9.00, if done when you buy your concert ticket, $12.00 if you upgrade the day of the concert. And if you are at the park, you can get concert tickets, if available, at guest relations.
Local newspapers are reporting a price cut for Darien Lake.
During the day, single tickets for children (under 48 inches tall) and seniors will be $19.99, down from $24.99. After 5 p.m., all ticket prices will be $19.99.
But if you are planning to go more than once, buy a season pass for $50.00.

We will be at Darien Lake for opening day May 3rd 2008. Staying at an onsite RV. So look for an updated review in the Hotel/Campgrounds pages. The Hotel was fully booked for opening weekend, but there should still be RV's available. The early season prices are low and remember that your park tickets are included in the RV price.
If you do book an RV or camping site you can check in on Friday May 2nd, anytime after noon. However, the park is not open until Saturday. Season passes are processed during the week at the administration building, so you can get your passes processed on Friday before 5pm, and be ready for the opening on Saturday.

Darien Lake Theme Park Resort is located between Buffalo and Rochester N.Y.
A family fun park, with roller coasters, midway rides, live shows, a water park and a concert center located next to the park. It offers a unigue experiance. Either as a day trip for family fun or as a starting point for longer vacations. It offers a complete package. The hotel located at the park is great for those of us who do not like "roughing it". The 1200 site campgrounds have RV's for rent. Camping sites, with full hook ups are also offered for those who have their own RV or tent. Admission to the park is included in the price of your accomodations.
Located just a few miles off of the NY State Thruway, it is easy to get to Niagara Falls, Buffalo, Rochester, and the other vacation stops of Western NY. Like the Genesse Country Museum. A "living" museum having a complete working 19th century town.
Darien Lake is a great starting point for day trips. In less than an hour you can be at Niagara Falls and come back to Darien Lake to end your day.
